Pastor Don Leonard
In November of 1997, Pastor Don was elected as Senior Pastor of the Defiance Church of the Nazarene. Prior to coming to Defiance, Pastor Don served as the Pastor of Faith Church of the Nazarene. He also served as a Chaplain for Cherry Street Mission in Toledo, Ohio. Pastor Don graduated from the Church of the Nazarene Directed Course of Studies in 1989. He was ordained in the Church of the Nazarene the following year. Pastor Don attended the Hobart School of Welding and is a journeyman welder. Pastor Don was married to his wife Cathy for 42 years, and she faithfully served by his side until she went to be with the Lord in 2015. Pastor Don and Cathy have one daughter, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. In 2022, Pastor Don informed the board of his intentions to retire as Senior Pastor after serving DCN for 25 years. Following the election of Pastor Terra and Pastor Scott, the two re-hired Pastor Don as the Teaching Pastor.
