Pastor Terra Gorrell
Pastor Terra joined our staff in 2002 as the Worship Pastor. For over 20 years, she has served in various ministries including Worship, Connections, Children, Women, and Young Adults here at DCN. Pastor Terra grew up traveling with her familyβs singing group, βThe Singing Fry Family.β She came to Defiance after serving as the Worship Leader of Heritage Church, Maumee, Ohio. Pastor Terra is a 1998 graduate of Lourdes College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She completed the NWO Directed Studies Program in 2008, when she became an Ordained Minister in the Church of the Nazarene. Terra and her husband Brian were high school sweethearts. They have been married since 1997. Brian and Terra have two children. Brianna, and her husband Griffin, are both graduates of Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Their son, Zachary, currently attends The University of Toledo. Pastor Terra, alongside Pastor Scott, were unanimously elected as the Co-Lead Pastors of the Defiance Church of the Nazarene in 2022.
